ISTQB® Certified Tester Advanced Level - Agile Technical Tester

The ISTQB® Advanced Level Agile Technical Tester qualification is aimed at people who have already achieved an advanced point in their careers in software testing and wish to develop further their expertise in technical testing aspects in an agile context.

There are four key concepts that you will learn from this certification: Requirements Engineering, Testing in Agile, Test Automation and Deployment and Delivery.

Apply Agile techniques to ensure tests that provide adequate coverage for Epics and user stories, whilst quality is built in
Ensure that test automation activities happen in-sprint as part of continuous testing activities using data-driven and keyword-driven testing frameworks
Support continuous integration in an Agile Team to reduce defect leakage
Support Agile Team in continuous delivery and deployment whilst maintaining quality

Value for Candidate

Create a test approach using test automation, experience-based tests, black-box tests and test charters combined with other approaches (including risk-based testing) for any Agile delivery
Apply test-driven (TDD), behaviour-driven (BDD), acceptance-test-driven (ATDD) development and specification by example as coverage of acceptance tests
Apply continuous integration (CI) and summarise its impact on testing activities
Understand the benefit and concept of service virtualisation and how it can support early testing as part of a shift left mindset
