The New Royal Adelaide Hospital Testing Journey
by Ockert Uys
The presentation will provide a quick overview of the NRAH project. I will briefly discuss the project structure focussing on all stakeholders and the systems they were responsible for as well as the complexity of the integration on the project. The Presentation will then cover the test approach and different test phases that were executed as well as some statistics on the number of executed test cases etc. Time will also be spent on test issues and lessons learnt from this project and the presentation will end with a Q&A session.
Ockert is a professional Test Manager with more than 20 years extensive experience across Australia, Europe and Africa in software development, test management, quality management, change and release management and project management. He started his career as systems planner in 1994 and then performed multiple roles in the IT field – from Programmer through to Test Program manager.
Ockert has solid working knowledge of the financial sector and spent about 9 years working in the IT department of a big commercial bank fulfilling multiple technical and management roles prior to leaving South Africa.
Since immigrating to Australia nearly 6 years ago he has gained substantial experience in Test Management by managing the testing program of both the New Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth and the New Royal Adelaide hospital.
