Product Based Testing
by Pushparajan Balasubramanian

In this session, Pushparajan will cover what is product based testing (PBT), how it differs from application testing, how product based testing best practices can be used to eliminate the barriers in achieving the quality and time to market of new product development. PBT is designed specifically to test the end-to-end processes and product data relevant to product development, launch and in-life management activities. Product based testing framework can be automated as a packaged solution that tests the entire product management process.

Bio

Pushparajan Balasubramanian is working as a Product Modeller at Spark New Zealand. He has 17 years of experience in the field of Software Quality Assurance, Manual, Automation, Performance and Security Testing. He has good knowledge in Telecommunication Product Modelling and Product Management, Fulfilment, Assurance, Billing of Mobile and Broadband technologies. His current research involves in the study of the telecommunication solutions, Business Process Automation and testing tools. Grateful for an amazing group of friends, Pushparajan provides guidance for people who wants to move their career into software testing. Pushparajan holds Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai.

Security Testing

Mark’s presentation topic will cover:
· Cyber-security, how bad is it really out there;
· SecDevOps, it’s the latest buzz word within security circles, so what does it really mean; and
· The role the testing discipline can play is securing corporate environments.

Bio

Mark Shaw has over 20 years’ experience in the computer security arena covering numerous industries including Defense, Telecommunications, ISP’s and more recently Banking.  Mark's last 8 years have been spent in ASB’s Information security team in demanding and interesting roles.

Currently he managers the CSIRT (Cyber Security Incident Response Team) and a Digital Assurance team tasked with performing security reviews (AKA Pen Testing) across the bank's applications and platforms.
