Chris Carter: Chair of the ANZTB

Chris is a well-known expert in the field of software testing, risk reduction and process improvement. With over 15 years experience in delivering practical testing solutions to clients in financial, insurance, retail, utilities, government and defence industries, Chris has successfully implemented practical risk reduction solutions for companies and government organizations in Australia, Asia, UK, Europe and USA.

Chris is currently the Director of PlanIT Test Management Solutions.

Caroline Molloy: Vice-Chair of the ANZTB & Chair of the ANZTB Accreditation Panel

Caroline has worked in the Testing Discipline since 1990 starting in UAT. She has worked on all phases of testing in a variety of roles, from Business Acceptance Tester to Program Test Manager.

Caroline has worked in a variety of industries including Insurance, Finance, Telecommunications, Transport (Government) and Leisure.

As the Chair of the ANZTB Accreditation Panel, Caroline manages and co-ordinates the Accreditation work-stream. This comprises of creating the Accreditation Criteria and Processes for Training Providers to be accredited to run the ISTQB course and reviewing and approving the Training Providers Courseware against the ISTQB syllabus.

Caroline holds the ISEB / ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing and the ISEB Practitioners Qualification.

Josephine Pennington: Board Member

Since graduating in IT 20 years ago Josephine has worked within every phase of the SDLC albeit specialising in testing since 1995.

Josie joined the Retail Banking arm of the CBA in November 2004 as Executive Manager Testing Policy and Standards, her scope in this role is to fundamentally transform Testing Processes and Methods to improve quality, better manage risk and reduce cost.

As the Chair of the ANZTB Examinations Panel Josie manages and co-ordinates the Examination work-stream. This comprises the setting, administration and marking of foundation level examinations and contribution to the Advanced level ISTQB workstream.

Josie holds the ISEB / ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing and is waiting to sit the Practioner's exam later this year.

David Fuller: Board Member & Web Master

David has over 12 years experience in delivering practical testing solutions to clients in the Financial Services industry, with a focus on the promotion of best practice Testing techniques & tools across the Software Development Lifecycle.

David's is currently leading the deployment of an Enterprise Testing methodology & toolset across the Westpac Group and acts as a Software Testing Consultant within BT Financial Group. He strongly believes in the promotion of Testing as a career and has hands-on experience with quality standards including ISO 9000, 9126 & CMMI.

As an ANZTB board member, David is the Australia / New Zealand member of the ISTQB worldwide Glossary Working group and also manages the ANZTB website & Members Area.

David holds the ISEB / ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.

Graeme Mackenzie: Chair of the ANZTB Examinations Panel

Graeme has been managing software testing for over 10 years, typically at an organisational level, and with teams of up to sixty testing staff. He has held strategic management roles in a variety of organizations and industries, including telecommunications, financial, fishing, oil and government.

Graeme is currently the Testing Capability Leader for EDS New Zealand Solution Centre. He has considerable recent experience in managing global "follow the sun" testing using New Zealand testers for systems located and developed in the US and UK.

Graeme holds the ISEB/ISTQB Foundation and ANZTB/ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst Certificate in Software Testing.

Sharon Robson: Board Member

Sharon has just started a the next step in her career with Software Education Associates Limited, working as a Knowledge Engineer (Trainer and Consultant) in Software Testing.

Sharon provides training on Software Testing and presents at conferences about Software Testing.

Sharon has also worked as the Test Team Manager at HP EAS Christchurch. Sharon's focus is on promotion of Testing as a career within HP and within the Software Development community. Sharon's focus was on implementing standards within the HP testing community.

Sharon is one of the founding board members of the Australia New Zealand Testing Board. Sharon is the Chair of the ISTQB Marketing Working Group and coordinated the Marketing for the ANZTB. Sharon has also been actively involved in the Examination Sub-committee for ANZTB.

Sharon holds the ISEB / ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.

Karen Haig: Administrator

Karen has 20 years of experience in administration and currently works at the ANZTB office in New Zealand on a full time basis.

As Office Manager, Karen strives to answer all queries within the shortest timeframe possible and ensures a quick turn-around of results and certificates.

Steve Toms: Treasurer of the ANZTB & Board Member

Now a Senior Consultant with one of the leading Tools Vendors, Steve has worked in Software Development for 17 years since graduating in IT. His experience as a developer in the defence industry was a solid foundation for his subsequent testing roles. Steve has had many key roles, including Performance Testing for the Sydney Olympics, as well as roles with major financial institutions; most recently as the Test Process Manager for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

As an ANZTB board member, Steve is the Australia / New Zealand member of the ISTQB worldwide Process Working group and also contributes to the ISTQB examinations. 

The ISTQB Processes working party aims at creating and delivering a mutual processes description as a baseline for all ISTQB national boards to use (such as: Review, Examination, Certification, Accreditation Process and any other process within ISTQB if not specifically excluded).

Steve holds the ISEB / ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.

Ian Ross: Board Member

Ian is a Senior Tester with HP in Christchurch NZ.

Ian has worked in a variety of industries including Insurance, Security, Education and Finance. He has worked in a number of different roles including developer and Quality Assurance, which provides useful experience in his role as a tester.

Ian holds the ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certificate and ANZTB/ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst Certificatie in Software Testing.

David Hayman: Board Member

David is a Senior Consultant at The Testing Consultancy Ltd [TTC] in New Zealand, a software testing consultancy services, training and resourcing company.

His IT experience extends over some 24 years, which includes time spent as a programmer, systems analyst and project manager.  The last 20 years, spent in software testing, has provided significant experience in all aspects of the testing function, its processes, methods and practical applications.

David now uses that experience in his role with TTC and brings his long and varied practical experience to his consultancy roles as well as his training and presentation work.

He was a frequent and thought provoking speaker at testing and management conferences in the UK, Europe and now carries on that tradition in New Zealand and Australia.  He is an accredited trainer of the ISTQB Foundation, Advanced Test Analyst and Advanced Test Manager certification courses, a member of the ANZTB Software Testing Examination Panel and an ANZTB Board Member.
